Project Manager Wind Energy 80-100%

Your tasks

  • Acquisition and management of new projects in IET's wind energy programme
  • Writing scientific papers and giving presentations at events and conferences
  • Mechanical design of a novel pressure and acoustic measurement system for wind turbine blades
  • Design, planning and implementation of wind tunnel tests on a 2D wind turbine blade and field tests on full-size wind turbine blades, data analysis and comparison to simulation results

Your profile

  • You hold an M.Sc. Diploma or equivalent in mechanical engineering or related fields
  • You hold a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or related fields, OR you have at least three year' work experience in the area of field measurements, wind tunnel testing, wind energy or related fields
  • You are fluent in writing and speaking English and German
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills, you thrive in diverse, multidisciplinary environments, and contribute to the co-operative and informal atmosphere of the institute
  • You enjoy presenting your work and acquiring new projects
  • You are willing to travel to the USA for a number of weeks for field measurements
